Tyler English

Tyler joined the Poplar Springs team in the Fall of 2025. Having grown up on the mission field in Northern Africa, Tyler developed a heart for ministry from an early age. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from George Mason University, and later completed his Master’s in Children’s and Family Ministry from Bethel Seminary.

Tyler and his wife, Rachel, have been married since 2014 and have three daughters. Before having kids, he and Rachel served overseas working with orphans and vulnerable children in Lesotho, Africa from 2015–16. Later, their whole family served together as church planters in Mexico and Guatemala from 2023–25.

Over the years, Tyler has served in Kids Ministry, worked in public schools, and spent many summers investing in children through camp experiences. He has a passion for helping kids find and follow Jesus, while also empowering and equipping parents to lead spiritually in their homes. In his free time, Tyler enjoys hiking and biking, spending time with his family, and watching a really good movie.
